For this project, our focus was on capturing the quiet ingenuity and material richness of a compact structure that feels both playful and purposeful. Designed by Cheshire Architects, The Folly sits at the edge of a clifftop garden in Takapuna, its dark timber form looking directly across the Hauraki Gulf toward Rangitoto Island. The RED Raptor and RED Komodo paired with Sigma Cine Zooms let us draw out the texture and craft of the building and the way it holds its position within the landscape. Aerials on the DJI Mavic Series revealed the design's relationship to place and the delicate balance between form and environment.
