For this project, our focus was on capturing the sense of stillness and connection to nature that defines Now and Zen, a secluded luxury stay on Pittwater accessible only by boat. Designed by architect Peter Pane and set against Ku-ring-gai National Park, the Japanese-influenced retreat was hand-built from warm natural timbers and has been carefully restored by its current owners, with considered additions including a new side deck. We used slow movement and layered compositions to evoke the property’s meditative character, while close-proximity drone passes through foreground foliage reveal how completely the architecture, boatshed and waterfront setting are nestled within the landscape. The project was filmed using the RED Raptor and RED Komodo paired with Sigma Cine Lenses.
