Morris Cove House

Client: The Local Project

Architect: Bates & Masi Architects

Location: Sag Harbour, Hamptons | United States

Generous guest quarters designed in harmony with the changing tides

For this project, our aim was to capture the strength and delicacy of a home designed to sit lightly atop the wetlands of Sag Harbor. Designed by Bates Masi Architects, the residence is an exercise in material precision and structural innovation, its palette of timber, glass and steel reflecting the tones of the surrounding landscape. We worked across shifting weather and light, capturing the house beneath sun, mist and rain to reveal its changing character throughout the day. The project was filmed using the RED Raptor and RED Komodo paired with Sigma Cine Zooms, with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro offering sweeping aerials of the home’s layered landscaping and its relationship to the tidal environment.
